THEN- high school

NOW-

My mom shared with me the other night that when I changed schools in 11th grade and went to Oakwood Christian School, she prayed I would find a sweet, Christian guy to date. She wrote the date of her prayer in her bible and it was in September 2001. The following month is when we met and had our first date...and the rest is history.
It's amazing how the Lord answers our prayers and not only answers them but so perfectly beyond our comprehension. I read The Power of a Praying Wife last year in a bible study at our old church in Oklahoma. This book not only changed our marriage but taught me about the power of prayer. I refer to this book weekly and it is continuing to change my prayer life. After thinking back this week to 7 years ago, when my mom prayed for me and 1 month later I met Stan, it confirms my thoughts even more on the power of prayer.

That is awesome! We are truly blessed to have God in charge of our lives. I love that book, keep it by my bedside table and even blog about it, haha. It really has changed my life!
You guys are so cute!
this post brings back lots of memories, kathryn. i love it! and i love you both!!
You just made me cry on that post! I am so glad that the Lord brought you two together! Love you!
AMEN!!!
Kathryn, You are such a blessing. I pray that you and Stan always stay the way you are today, close and precious to each other. If the Lord allows both of us to be here in January 2009, Leroy and I will be married for 42 years. Your lives remind me so much of our early years, having to move around because of the Army. Prayer is very important and always keep it first in your lives. God bless, Nancy
Thanks, Mrs. Nancy. Your thoughts made me smile tonight. =)It is encouraging to know others have endured the same lifestyle and managed to get through it. It hasn't been a bad experience, and I pray we can continue to have a positive outlook on the military lifestyle especially when difficult times are sure to come.
Wow, congrats to you two for making it almost 42 years. I didn't realize it was 42!!
