My first day was definitely exhausting (I start rounds 7:00am and my last apt. is at 5:00), but I can honestly say I loved every minute of it! I see a wide variety of patients- anywhere from Autistic children, to Traumatic Brain Injuries, to Stroke patients. One patient of mine is a soldier who was wounded in Iraq with a brain injury. It is an absolute honor to work with this young man. I feel helping him is the least I can do as an American citizen considering he willingly served our country.
I'm not exactly sure if the medical setting is where the Lord is leading me to work now or in the future, but so far I'm just enjoying the summer gaining the experience. I hope the Lord can use me to make a difference this summer while working with these patients.

You look great in those "yucky" scrubs! :) So glad you have this chance for an internship!
Kathryn - you would look beautiful if you were wearing trash bags. The scrubs aren't bad at all! :-)
Movin' on up in the world...Medical Intern!!! Love ya and I agree...you are cute in your scrubs! And it saves time having to get an outfit together for work!
Thanks everyone! I'm just happy to help others in this setting and hopefully make a difference. God is so good! He always works everything out perfectly and places us in a specific place for a reason.
